Remedial Massage: is well known to be a holistic service that aims to reduce body aches and improve well-being.
Myotherapy: a type of hands-on therapy that focuses on assessing, treating, and rehabilitating musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction by targeting soft tissue structures such as muscles, tendons, ligaments, and fascia.

Water is always provided before, during, and after each session.
Floor Mat: Traditional Thai Massage service is delivered on comfortable 1.5m x 2m massage mats.
Hydraulic table: to make it easier for you to step on and off from the table and where needed, even to be seated on too. Services offered on the table include Myotherapy, Remedial Massage, MLD, Lymphoedema and Lipoedema management.
Work with Children Card: Giovanni holds a WWCC, so if your teenager needs treatment, you are welcome to book a session for them. During those sessions, as per law, a parent or a guardian must always be present.
What to wear: Regarding the clothes worn during treatment, for Remedial Massage, Myotherapy, and MLD sessions, the patient is undressed down to a bra and underwear. Said so, just the area that needs to be worked on too would be exposed, and the rest of the body is draped with towels. Whereas for Thai Massage the patient is fully dressed.

He is a true professional, I can’t recommend him enough! I no longer have any of those lumps! It was a daunting time for me yet he always made me feel at ease with his calm demeanour; and knowing his impressive qualifications and training/work background really helped too. The treatment plan was clearly laid out, he explained the science behind MLD and how it assists the body in reorganising tissue to become smooth again. Even though relaxation wasn’t a goal of the session, I always left feeling a lot more relaxed  - the space, Giovanni’s demeanour and the practise has that effect. I had been suffering debilitating shoulder pain for more than 12 months and had tried multiple therapies with little success. My doctor suggested I see Giovanni after hearing excellent feedback from other patients — and I’m so glad she did.
After just one session, the shoulder pain that had been tormenting me for so long disappeared.
Giovanni has an exceptional understanding of anatomy and biomechanics, and his ability to quickly identify and treat the root cause of a problem is impressive. He is also professional, personable and easy to be around.
I was so impressed that I now attend regular fitness classes with him to improve my range of motion and strength.

Massage Cost at Coburg

Myotherapy, Remedial Massage, MLD, Lipoedema management and Thai Massage.

We will review your clinic history and objective and subjective assessment in an initial consultation. This process can take 10 to 15 minutes and allows us to create a tailored treatment plan and understand what we need to work on.

Within a 45-minute session, we will quickly revise the results from the previous session/(s), check in for any changes. From there, we will progress through your treatment plan.

30-minute appointments are available for MLD only. These sessions are recommended for those needing short treatment, for areas like the facial or neck only.

Lymphoedema and MLD For Cosmetic Surgery

At Melbourne Massage and Treatment in Coburg, Giovanni is highly specialised in MLD treatment, and can help people who live with Lymphoedema or who did undergo a Cosmetic Surgery, and needs MLD to support the recovery process. Initial consultation for those services last 90 mins.

Both Lymphoedema and Cosmetic Surgery MLD care, returning appointment can be shorten to 60 minutes. The returning appointment length is dictated by your presentation. For complex Lymphoedema case, like bilateral Lymphoedema, 75 mins, or 90 mins are may still needed. Same for multiple site of Cosmetic Surgery.

Fitness Class and Thai Yoga

Fitness classes can last from 30 to 45 to 60 minutes.

Your first fitness class will last 60 minutes, allowing Giovanni to investigate your clinical history. Together, you will work on your short-term and long-term goals.

Thai Yoga Class are run for up to 2 people due to the space and you don’t neeed to bring anything, all the equipment is provided.

If you are experiencing a specific pain only after your sports activity or gym session, then yes, it would be good for you to do so we can assess what the actual issue is, as your body needs to be loaded to experience the discomfort. On the other hand, loading the body before a treatment already puts your tissue into an inflammatory state and could make the treatment less effective as you may experience pain and discomfort with any external stimulation.

No, I am sorry. The new clinic has a 14 cm step at the entrance, and I am looking into getting a mobile ramp asap, but it is not available yet.

Yes, they are. Exercises, most often, are the real way to get out of pain and take control of your presentation.

At Melbourne Massage and Treatment, there is a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you cancel your appointment before 24 hours, you will not be charged. Cancellations within less than 24 hours are charged 50%. If you have any questions, you are welcome to contact me privately.

Pain post-injury can last 24 h to 72 h. That's the inflammatory response timing. If the pain does not settle past the 72 hours, then is good to come to see me, and we can assess the presentation. That said, if during the initial 72 h the pain, is above your 7/10 pain scale (0= no pain / 10 = worst pain ever), you may want to come and see me asap, or even seek medical advice from your GP, especially if the skin is damaged, or presenting discolouration.

If you are heading for a surgery, it would be best to do some MLD before the surgery, and definitely after the surgery. Most important that either before or after no sign of infections are present. So the post-surgery MLD session, is safer to do it after you finish the antibiotic cure.

YES Please! Any medication you have been taking, including dosage and frequency (daily, weekly, or occasionally), is a must-have information for us therapists.

The injury recovery time is multi-factorial, and we can only look at estimations based on scientific research and data and can't give a set date. That said, a soft tissue injury, like a muscle tear, can take 8 to 12 weeks to recover fully, whereas tendinopathy or ligament injuries can go from 3 months to 1 year for a full recovery; it depends on the severity of the presentation again and other factors. You are welcome to ask for more information about it via a Treatment Plan free consultation. Book it now.
